There's Always Tomorrow...

I'm learning everyday that I may make mistakes, I may feel betrayed or hurt, I may not understand life or where I'm going, but no matter what happens there is always tomorrow, the Lord loves me and has a divine plan for me, I have a family and friends who love me and I need to just take one day at a time. Im just working a lot and trying to meetmy goals of saving money so I can eventually go back to school. I'm writting a lot and just trying to focus all of my energy on producing creative works and to make the best of every opportunity that I am given. I was planning on this being a longer post, but I have to go get ready for work and then take off! I promise I will update soon and it will be longer and more in depth, not so retrospective! :) Thank you to everyone who has commented and left me all those encouraging words. I so appreciate it and love all your comments. Thank you. Thank you. I am very blessed. I will be putting up a photo album on the sidebar of my NYC trip with my brother. I know it has been since December, but I just finally figured out how to upload my pics to the computer!! Enjoy!

"Life Is Beautiful...Though It's Complicated..."

This isn't going to be a long post, but I just felt like I needed to write something. I'm a  sad today. I'm feeling pressured and stressed and like I am once again getting ahead of myself in life. I so want to make the right decisions and I feel like I do most of the time, but today isnt one of those days. I really need to find who I am in the midst of all this craziness and stay true to that person. It's hard and I'm stressed and a bit discouraged, but I guess that's life. I feel like I am craving something in my life, but I dont know whats missing...I just dont feel complete, but I wonder if we ever really do?

I need to make time to educate myself on certain issues and to also find a church that I can call my home. I pray that I will come out stronger...

Take Tomorrow One Day At A Time

Life has been good. It's been challenging in areas, but have taught me patience and hope. Without these little speed bumps and disturbances, I like to think life would be too boring, or ordinary.

I got the opportunity to go to this songwriting panel session today which was amazing. I got to listen to amazing artists and songwriters play their music and talk about the inspiartion behind each song. It was truley an incredible experience and one that I feel fortunate to have had. It was creatively liberating and evoked thoughts inside of me, which werent there an hour before. Im learning more about my abilities and am having to push myself to get the best creative material that is inside me.

I am excited for what life has instore for me. I cant wait to meet more inspiring people and to one day be able to inspire others. I am genuinely greatful for everything I have been given and for the grace to make mistakes and faith to keep moving in the midst of it all.

Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day, but a great one at that! I will update later with a more detailed and not so introspective look at my life, but for now this is all i've got to give.

The Start of Something New

Hello!!! Things have been super busy lately, but I still cant believe its been a little over a month since I've posted anything! Let me try and backtrack as much as I can. First, my New York trip was amazing! It was only 5 days, but a great 5 days! It was so great to be able to spend time with my brother and take in the city together. We walked around a lot and saw the Staue of Liberty, Ground Zero, saw Trazan the Musical, walked through Central Park and went ice skating at Rockafellar Center, which was my absolute favorite! It was super cold there, between 19-30 degrees, but it was gorgous and such a wonderful trip! I am in love with the city, so its so great when I get to visit!! I still have to upload pictures from the trip, but will do that soon! After NYC, was Christmas! It ended up being a really nice Christmas. It was pretty laid back and was spent with my family, Kristina and the family I nanny for. My mom got a scrapbook made for me for Christmas, which I absolutely love...its perfect! I also, got an eliptical machine and gift certificates! Christmas seemed to come and go so fast this year, which is sad, but tis nice that all the holidays are over and we are able to get on with normal life. New Years was really low key..i babysat Olivia and Jamilah and Jamilah was my New Years Kiss at Midnight. I promise one of these years my New Years will be slightly more eventful!! January 9th were the People's Choice Awards and the 15th was the Golden Globes! Both nights were amazing and I had such a great time! Again, once I upload the pictures you will get to see in detail my evenings! I love working these events..it gives me a chance to dress up a little and network and meet great people! Next, is the Grammys is a few weeks, which should be a blast! Work has been going well, just busy and I am trying to catch up a lot after the holidays and while Awards season is here. My nanny job is steady, as always and is going pretty well. Olivia and I have really gotten close and I enjoy the time I am able to spend with her. Something new that was happened is....i got a NEW PUPPY last week!!!! His name is Manolo (yes, like the shoe) and he is a chocolate brown (and has white spots) Chihuaua! I am absoltely in love with him!! I have wanted a puppy for years and I am so excited to have Manolo! He is only 8 weeks old, so is still learning to potty train and eat and be around people, but I am enjoying every second with him!

New York New York.. Here I Come!!

Life has been a little nutty lately and my health less than great, so I am really in need of this vacation!! I am so excited!! I've been to NYC several times, but this will be my first time going in the winter and during the Holiday season!! Our flight is bright and early tomorrow morning and I hate hate flying..but im sure everything will be fine! If you just rememeber please say a pray for us and safe traveling and for my health especially while i am there. I have to go finish packing, but i will be back next week with an update and pictures!! I hope all is well and I look forward to reading your comment and catching up on all your blogs when I return!!!

"Suddenly I See This is What I Wanna Be..."

Hey Guys! I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving! Mine was great! My nana was in town visiting and my sister moved back home which were both such a blessing! Things in my life are going really well! I am still doing PR and writing a lot! There are a lot of opportunities that I am being blessed with right now and people that I am networking with! Last Tuesday, were the AMA's in Los Angeles! It was such a blast to be there with my clients and to be able to meet such amazing people in the industry! It ended up being such a perfect evening! I met John Mayer, Josh Groben, Ashlee Simpson, Jojo, the Dixie Chicks..so many of my musicial influences...it was perfect! The week before I got the opportunity to see my favorite band, The Fray, in concert twice last week! They were completely amazing..i cant beleiev their writing abilities and how incredib,y talented they all are! This week I am planning on catching up on work from when I was sick and get ready for a busy weekend! I believe I am seeing The Fray again on Friday, VH1 Awards on Saturday and the Billboard Awards on Monday in Vegas! Its all tennative, but i think thats my weekend! And then, on the 8th I am leaving for NYC for 4 days!! I cant wait!! New York is my most favorite place in the world...ive never been in the winter and I believe its going to be completely magical!

It's Been So Long...I don't Know where to Start

Heey everyone! Yes, i am back! I have so much that I want to say and so much that has happened in the last couple of months...i dont even know where to begin. I guess i will just start by backtracking as much as I can. First off, i left my job at CESD in the beginning of September due to a conflict with a co-worker and am now freelancing PR, while trying to figure out where to go next. Leaving my job was really hard because I loved it so much and loved the people i wored with and my clients, but overall I know leaving was the best decision for me. Leaving has opened a lot of opportunities, they havent been easy ones, but it has allowed me to start doing PR, which i absolutely love! I have been able to go to a lot of different events and meet some amazing people in the industry. Pr allows me to be creative and bold and it teaches me a lot about myself and my abilities. It has definately kept me busy, but i've also been picking up some extra hours as a nanny to pay the bills. Right now i am working for the Talbert and am the nanny to an eleven year old girl, Olivia. I've been with them for about 2 months and I absolutely love Oliva and the whole family. My hours are really flexible with my other job, but i get to spend a lot of time with her, which I love. I pick her up from school every day, tutor her, help her with her chores and then run her to piano, soccer and girl scouts. She is a good girl, but the job has taught me a lot about flexibility and patience.I've been off of work for about a week now because I've had tonselitis and shingles! It started last Wednesday and has been horrible! I dont have health insurance, so I had to get a perscription from the urgent care doctor, which is not cheap! It's been really painful, but it is starting to get better. It's just really frusterating because I always get sick, every couple of weeks and it's always pretty severe..not just a cold or stomach ache. I feel like whenever I go to the doctors they just feed me lines...but dont ever really help me and I keep getting really sick. Lately my migraines have been really bad and i have been waking up extremely nautious every morning. I just want to feel well and healthy and have energy enough to go about my day! So, please pray for me and my health and that I would get insurance soon, so i can find a good doctor to treat me!

I know..I know..this has been the longest that I have ever been away from blogging! My life just hasnt been "normal" in the last 2 months and it has been really hard to sit and update. This isnt going to be a substantial post, but I promise to have one in the next day or so. I do ask for your prayers and encouragement right now. Things are kind of tough and I could just really use the love, support and prayers of my friends, sisters and fellow bloggers! I really appreciate it..and will be back hopefully tomorrow with a nice loooong update! You are all in my thoughts and prayers and have loved your posts in these last month or so!!

" Put, everything back, that you took out, right when i started..."

Heey everyone! These last couple of months, i know i have been terrible at updating. I know it's because I have been super busy lately and barely have time to sleep let alone update! But i figured I would just start writing because it has been way too long! Since i got back from Hawaii a little over a month ago my life has gone non-stop! I work all day from 9:30-6:30 in the office and then when i get off i go to junkits,premieres, do press kits, wardrobe fittings, interiews and such with my PR clients. I mean dont get me wrong, I love what I do and it is fun most of the time, but when you go and go and go non-stop it starts to wear you down at some point. I really do love PR, it is something that I am really good at and people respect me for; which is a good feeling. I started doing PR for Cameron Goodman recently, she is a new client of mine, and let me tell you i just love her! She has made my job for her so much fun and she is so wonderful to work with and for. I really have high hopes for her and her career and know that the work I'm doing is only the tip of the iceberg for what is yet to come with her. Work in the office has been good...i recently got promoted to Print/Fashion assistant, which i am soo super stoked for!!! I start in 2 weeks! It will be a really great department to work for and I love the other girls in the office...they are really great! It will be an enviornment where I can learn, but also have a bit of creative freedom to work how i see fit...it will teach me a lot more about the Print and Fashion world, as well as PR. *yay* I might be going to NY Fashion week @ the beginning of September and im soo excited...i am crossing my fingers that it all comes through!

Long Time No Blog!

Hello everyone! Wow..i truely have been a slacker when it comes to this whole "updating" thing. Honestly, I have been so busy and it has really been the last thing on my mind. But it has definately been way too long, so here it goes!

Since last updating, I went to Hawaii for 8 days with my family and can I tell you I fell in love with it! Maui was just gorgous and absolutely nothing short of amazing! Just being able to walk to the beach from the hotel and spend the day there was fabulous! It made me appreciate all God has created and the true beauty of nature so much more! We flew in on Tuesday, June 27th and left on the 4th of July (which I was not a fan of because I am not a good flyer, so the fireworks were not a comfort to me...nor was my family making fun of me as we were flying...). We stayed @ Kaanapali Shores in Kaanapali, Maui and it was beautiful! The hotel was big and condo style. It had waterfalls and wonderful flowers and tiki torches everywhere! Most of the time we were there we spent out on the beach or at Whalers Village. I went surfing while I was there (i took lessons which was very comical and I have to say I was there favorite student!:) ) I got up, but tumbled a lot more than rode the waves! I got a bunch of cuts and bruises, but it was so fun that it was worth it! I also wet jet skiing with my brother which was a blast and went parasailing with my mom and sister, which was fun and beautiful, but the whole heights thing (we were up 1000 feet in a little harness) didnt sit well with me! But i made it out alive! :) We also went scuba diving @ Malokini Reef! We took a boat out to it, which was great (i looove boats) and then went scuba diving! Now, i just kinda swam in the water for about an hour and occasionally stuck my face in the water to see the fishies, but the whole mask thing kinda freaked me out..so i opted no on that one! But the rest my family really enjoyed the snorkeling and even got to swim with giant sea turtles! We had a really great time, I met some awesome people (Justin and Morgan..hi!:) ) and enjoyed the sun and tanning opportunities! I fell in love with it and hated coming back to LA, not a huge fan of it here, but I will go back soon!
