I know....I know...it has been way too long, but all I can say is that I was waiting for something to happen in my life to update, so here it is! Life has been busy, but really awesome lately! I have been blessed, let me tell you. I the beginning of August, I started looking for a nanny job after taking the summer off and after going on a few interviews and not really being too confident on the job front, I found a wonderful family! When i started a little over a month ago, the little girl was 5 weeks old and now she is pushing to almost 3 months! She is precious, so sweet and I love being able to spend the whole day with her and get paid for it. It is incredibely rewarding and so amazing to watch her develop and grow. I love the parents and have just fallen in love with the whole family!

Home life has been great. I'm still in the process of looking for a apartment and have the deadline of about aother month or two to do so. Manolo will be 10months on October 15th...hes getting so big...he's at 5lbs now! I can remember when he fit inside of a grande Starbucks cup! My brother is doing good...we've been sending a lot of time together, which I love. I love that we can share a passion for music together and be able to go out together and experience life. He's amazing and I love him so much.

My hair is still blond and I am actually am lovin it right now, so we will see if I change it and go darker for the fall! I am loving the weather right now and cant believe that it's fall and almost December! This is my favorite time of year. I cant wait until the USC vs. UCLA game and pep rally in November...it is my absolute favorite thing of the year! I am so excited and cant wait!

I have been totaly slacking on working out lately and have totally packed on a few pounds, but I am determined to find a yoga or pilates class that I can do 2 or 3 times a week. I just need something to dive into and get myself back into shape! So i will be updating you on my search to find the perfect class and my quest to lose these nasty ten pounds that i've been packing on. I have to get rd of them before the holidays!! :)

I just bought a new computer...a Macbook...and I am totally in love with it!!

PR is going well and bringing with it some fun times and awesome opportunities and will be psting pictures of some things after the post (hopefully) I am horrible at uploading pictures

I am just realy loving life right now and trying to take every moment as it comes and live as much as possible! I am excited for this new phase in my life and about meeting new people, falling even more in love with my Lord and Savior, writing as much as I can, spending time with my family, friends and beautiful puppy- I know that there is a lot in stre for me and I am so excited to embrace everything that there is to come!

I will update hopefully tomorrow about my writing, starting school and my super new awesome DREAM job that I am starting next week!! Kiss Nanny Katy Goodbye!!

Skeptics and Truebelievers...

Right when I feel like it's time to throw in the towel...the Lord reminds me that I need to hold on. He gives me a little taste of what is yet, to come and I couldnt be more blessed or happy! Life is going a step in the right direction and I just need to remember to keep seeking him and to work as hard as I can.

"Hollywood Hills and Suburban Thrills, and you, who are you kidding? I'm not like them..."

It's been a while. I seem to have these spurts of wanting to update everything that's going on and then times when life seems like a bore or a little to overwhelming to update about. But i think it is long enough...a month is where I draw the line. So, let's see... life is steady. I know I always say that, but this season in my life just seems very steady and mundane to me. I believe that God is preparing me for a transition and for new starts in my life, but they aren't quite here yet, so I am left waiting, and learning patience. I am writing consistantly and trying to learn as much about the music business as possible. I am networking and trying to dive into all the creativity that I have to offer. It's an exciting time, but really scary. Putting yourself out there in all of your vulneribility is frighting, but I have the "Take me or leave me" and "when it's the perfect time, then everything will fall into place" kind of attitude, which is the only thing keeping me sane right now. So, just keep me in your prayers that I will keep that attitude and keep believing that only good things will come!

As for the rest of my life. I am still nannying on the side, which is going well. Olivia is on break, so we have a little more time to just hang out, catch up on errands and such. She's such a good girl and puts up with my goofiness so well! I am working out every morning and even have begun waking up at 7am to work out and start my day. I might catch a short nap in the afternoon if I can, but I am feeling good and it is really stretching, but I so want to get my body into perfect shape, so I can start dancing again. I miss dancing. I miss being that creative on the dance floor and learning new routines and technique. I'm not a ballerina or a professional, but I can work my way around a class and that's all I could ask for. I love it and that's all that matters. My family life is good. David and I continue to get closer and bond over music and life. He's such a good kid and I love watching him grow up. Him and I have always been close and I have nothing but hope and faith in him. He's amazing and has such a tender heart...the best little brother a big sister could ask for. Manolo is almost 8 months old and is growing fast. He's so cute, but still isn't fully potty trained, but we are working on it!

My hair is growing out, which I am super excited for! And now I am trying to decide what to re-color my hair when I get it done. I dont know whether to stay blond and go a little lighter or to go back black. I'm torn and I love change, so we will see what happens.

I am inspired to take a vacation this summer. My family and I are going to Sand Diego and Las Vegas, which I am excited for, but I am thinking I should go somewhere tropical..hmm...we will see! But I need a tan first!

Life has been going at a whirlwind lately. I have been working a lot. Trying to write as much as I can. I've been trying to figure out my school situation, get my finances in order, spend time with my family and my puppy and work out! I start training this week for the triathalon that I am participating in. I'm a little nervous because I am not athletic to the say the least, but I am very excited. It's for a good cause and it will definately push me to the limits, which is a good thing! Last night I got the pleasure of going to the American Idol Finale (Part 1) at the Kodak Theater with my client, Bettina. It was amazing!! I had such an awesome time! I've been an American Idol fan since the very beginning, so it was so great to be able to be there and witness Blake and Jordin in all their fabulousness! and Chris Daughtry perfroemd last night and I am a huge fan of his!!! :) I also get a bit emotional during the finales because I believe that it's such an amzing moment and I really feel such a sense of pride and love for everyone. I'm such a sap..it's pathetic!! :) Tonight should be great!! I cant wait to see who walks away with the title of American Idol. I'm torn in my votes, so i'll be happy for either of them! Okay, well I am off to work right now and then will be back to write and then watch American Idol with my box of tissues, mac&cheese and cookie dough ice cream..what a night!!

"And You Come Away With A Great Little Story 'Bout A Mess Of A Dreamer With the Nerve to Adore You..."

I dont feel that there is really much to update about, but it's been way to long , so I am going to try and muster up something...even if it is a little boring! Life has been pretty good. I feel like this season in my life is just me getting things together in preparation for greater things to come. It's a time that I'm getting work together, i'm writing more, taking care of myself, menidng relationships and investing more in my family and in my relationship with the Lord. Nothing really new is happening....just catch up and working to maintain things in my life, which I feel isn't a bad place to be in. I continue to learn about myself evey day and I've been working really hard to work on myself and make myself a better person. I'm focusing more on where I want to go in my life and how I can do that the best way possible. So, i am working on finishing school, getting myself in shape and being the best friend, daughter, and sister that I can be.

I've been at peace lately about relationships. It's been hard me to know that some friendships that I've invested years in are ending, but i've needed to trust the Lord and let them go if that is what he wants. I've had to let a few go lately and fight to keep one very important to me. It's been tough, but I've really just had to trust the Lord and know that he knows what He is doing. I trust that He will mend this relationship and bless us both and that He will give me a complete peace about the relationships that have ended and that He will give me closure with those. I'm content with only having a few close friends and being able to invest in those and be the best friend possible. I'm learning that I can only ever be accountable for myself and work on me and that I cant chnage people or make people into the friends that I want them to be. I've had really great friends in my life. A lot have come and gone, but I've become a better person because of them and some have left scars on me that the Lord has been gracious enough to heal.

"Tied Together With A Smile"

Hello Everyone! Its been a little while since my last post, but with a good reason! I went out of town to Arizona with my friend Lori to visit my friend Cassie down there:) We had a great time! It was a quick visit...we left Friday and came back Sunday night, but it was good! We didnt really do much, which was perfectly fine with me because i was just really looking forward to some downtime with good friends! We ate alot, shopped and did a little looking around-but we had a really nice time:) there will be pictures on the side and at the end of this post! Other than that, i have been really busy with work, which has been very good! I have been very productive, which feels awesome! I have also been doing yoga for the past few weeks, which I really love- I have finally found a workout that I love:)

"Big Girls Don't Cry"

So, where do I start. First of all...time is flying by soo fast! Life is busy, work is going well, im writing a lot more, going to yoga and just trying to take life one step at a time. I am also looking into finishing school courses online to finish getting my degree, which is really exciting. I am dying to go back to school!!But life is really good right now. I've made a lot of inner changes that I feel really good about. I've had to do a lot of praying, and soul searching and just come to terms with my faults and where I need to make changes and I feel really content with things right now. I feel like I am heading in a really good direction. I know the Lord has amazing things in store for me, which I am excited to see unfold. I feel good about things with my family, my physicality and friends...the Lord had truly blessed me with two great friends...I couldnt ask for more!

Last week was more 21st birthday! I celebrated by having dinner on Tuesday with my family at the Macaroni Grill, dinner and fun with Wendy and Cynthia on Wednesday and then dinner with Lori at BJ's on Friday! It was a really great week of celebration...i was very blessed! On Saturday, I headed up to Mammoth with Wendy for an impulse vacation, until Tuesday! It was amazing up there, so beautiful! :) It was snowing! It was my first time ever being in snow....i couldnt have been happier!

I know this is a quick post, but I need to get back to work! I have lots of writing and laundry to do! But i will update soon with something more interesting. I hope all is well with everyone and that you all have a great rest of your weekend.

"She Would Change Everything, Just Ask Her..."

Hi Everyone! Happy Belated Easter! I hope everyone had a wonderful day filled with family and friends! I dont really have too much to update on, but i thought that it has been way too long without a post, so here goes nothing! Well, since my last post I have been feeling tons better physically...i am fully recovered and healthy at this point and hopefully will stay that way for a while. The last couple of weeks have been spent with family and friends. I've been taking it easy, trying to get things together and making goals for myself. I've been learning a lot about life, myself, and relationships and feeling stretched to the max, but they are all good strides that I am taking, so I'm really happy. Below are some things that I am going to be working towards because I dont just want to sit back and watch life past me by:

-Work out at leats 4 times a week

-Try yoga

-Go back to school( online and finish college)

-Write at least 1 song a week

-Read my bible everyday

-Start dancing again

-Start taking piano or guitar lessons

There you go...a few things that I will be doing more effeciantly and on a regular basis. :) Last week my Nana came to visit to surprise my brother for his birthday party and to celebrate my birthday with me (which is tomorrow...the big 21!) It was really great to see her. I love her very much and have always been thankful to have her in my life. She's been the one grandparent that has always made the extra effort to spend time with me and to get to know me and that is something that I have always appreciated and loved about her. I dont get to she her enough, so it was great to have her here for a few days! I am hoping to get out to Vegas sometime this summer to explore a little and to see her. :)

"You Jump, I Jump, Jack."

Hii Guys!! Well, where do I begin? First off all, where is time going? Its crazy..i cant believe we are almost into April...werent we just celebrating Christmas and the New Year?? Anyways, i have made a full recovery in health and am feeling way better! I am still on medication and feeling the lazy effects of that, but am still feeling pretty good! Things have been pretty steady lately..working, writing, nannying, time with friends and family...thats pretty much been life lately. Last Saturday I worked at a premiere in Hollywood and then babysat that afternoon for Jamilah, while her parents went to have grown-up time! :) Jamilah and I played, ate dinner, watched TV, I gave her a bath and then she was out like a light! With some hours by myself, I curled up on the couch and decided to watch Titanic,which was on TBS that night. I havent watched that movie in years...i think since it came out in theaters!! I was watching in not thinking i was going to cry, after all it's not like I didnt know the ship was going to sink or anything, but it comes to the last 5 or so minutes and I turn into a blubbering baby. I mean I was crying like my puppy died (how morbid..sorry), but it was pretty pathetic! I loved the movie though:) Sunday, i woke up early to get ready and go to church with my friend and her husband. We decided that we want to start trying out new churches and went to one that we both liked a lot, so I think we are going to return! After church, we went out to lunch for Sushi and then ice cream. It was great to spend time with her and her husband...i genuinely enjoy the time spend together. After a great afternoon together, she dropped me off at home and I ran inside to get ready because I was going to see "Wicked" with Olivia and her family for her birthday! They came to pick me up, we went to dinner at "The Cheesecake Factory" (i had the best cheesecake..the brownie sundae:) ) and then headed off to the Pantages theater! Now, i have seen "Wicked" before, about 3 years ago on Broadway, but i was sooo excited to see the play again! I am proud to say, I know every word of the play (choreography included) from start to finish! I sang the whole play and enjoyed it so much! I think the man in front of me wished I would stop, but I was soo invested in the play that I didnt even notice his looks or "hushes"..well much at least. Anyways, i recommend anyone who hasnt seen it to do so because it is absolutely fabulous!!

"Tomorrow's Another Day, So Bring On The Rain..."

Hi Everyone!! So, today I finally took some time out of my busyness to sit down and catch up on reading on all of my favorite blogs!! *Cynthia just got her blog back so everyone take a minute to go over and check out her newly renovated and daily updated blog..the link is on the side bar under Cynthia Newbern* Anyway, this week was kind of a difficult one for me. I was starting to get over my emotional distress and get my life back together and then on Saturday i started to not really feel well and continue to feel horrible until I finally got enough energy up to visit Urgent Care on Tuesday (i stll dont have insurance) and was informed that I have strep throat, a sinus infection and my shingles started to flare up again. So, needless to say I was not a happy camper and still had to go to work. I left the Urgent Care feeling horrible and really discouraged. Today, is my third day on antibiotics and first day that I am actually starting to feel better. My body aches arent soo bad anymore and my fever has broken and throat is feeling better-I am just hoping to knock this out of me now and not get sick again for a really long time!! Tomorrow I am working a movie premiere in Hollywood and Sunday I get to go see the play "Wicked" at the Pantages with my family I nanny for! I cant wait!! I saw this play on Broadway about 3 years agao and it is my absolute favorite. I can sing every word of the play from start to finish and can even dance a few of the numbers...yes i am obsessed!! But i have been in love with musical theater for years..its a healthy and cretaive obsession of mine! Next week is LA Fashion Week and is usually one of the busiest weeks of the year for me, but this year because I have been sick and a bit overwhelmed I am not sure how much I will be doing this next week, but whatever i go to should be a blast!! Next week is Katy Terrano's 20th Birthday!! Happy early birthday!!! I love you:)
So, my sister, Ashley is coming down to visit me for my birthday! She is coming April 6th-8th for a quick visit! It's the first time ever meeting her and I am very excited! It should be a great weekend!! April is going to be a very busy one for me!! Im going to Texas with a friend, Aoril 13th-17th and then Arizona with Lori the 27th-29th!! I am really excited to get the chance to travel and get out of LA for a little bit, even though I hate to fly!!! I'm starting to feel like I am getting a handle on life again and am feeling better. I should have an update sometime next week about my songwriting, but in the meantime please keep me and that whole situation in your prayers!!! Thank you!! I will update again soon! Hope all is well with everyone! Oh and beofre I go...I am sooo glad that Grey's Anatomy was a new episode last night...i loved it and I am now obsesed with the new show "October Road" which is right after Grey's!! I loved it and am sooo excited to keep watching it!!
